Stars and a Star
In the middle of this embroidery is one large star formed by a myriad of little stars. This was achieved by duplicating the drop of water pattern with its seven stars in rotation around the center like a pinwheel. The same was done with the flame and its seven stars. What joy it was to see one large star emerge from the many seven-star clusters!
To the artist each little star represents a believer filled with talent and ready to serve God in His kingdom on earth. Walmsley herself was 45 years old when the gift of embroidery was revealed in her fingers, and she never before knew it was there! Similar hidden talents could well be waiting within each of us. Imagine the healing, joy, victory and glory that will soon be manifest in the
kingdom of
God on earth through us if each one does his or her part!
At the center of the large star of stars is the Babe born in
Bethlehem, the Holy One who remains the center of all life. He is the Star of stars, here surrounded by a galaxy which is the church with Jesus Christ at its center.
